Shopify operations, without the manual work.

App stack, Flow workflows, n8n pipelines, and AI-assisted tooling. I build the infrastructure that keeps your store running so your team focuses on what matters.

What this covers.

Operations work is the unglamorous half of running a Shopify Plus store. Order routing, fulfillment logic, customer segmentation, inventory alerts, cross-platform data syncs. Done manually, this work is slow, error-prone, and expensive. Done well, it runs in the background and you stop thinking about it.

I handle the full range: auditing and replacing app stack components, building native Shopify Flow workflows, wiring external systems through n8n, and writing custom apps when nothing off-the-shelf fits. AI tooling is part of that kit too, used where it makes the work faster or more reliable.

Capability areas

App stack management

Audit, replace, configure. Klaviyo, ReCharge, Gorgias, Loop Returns, Yotpo, Okendo, Tapcart, ShipStation. I evaluate fit, manage migrations, and keep the stack lean.

Custom apps

When no off-the-shelf app fits the workflow, I build it. Public or private, using the Admin GraphQL API or App Bridge. You own the code.

Shopify Flow

Order tagging, fraud workflows, fulfillment routing, customer segmentation, inventory alerts. Native to Plus, runs without external infrastructure, no additional per-event cost.

External automations via n8n

When Flow can't reach. Cross-platform pipelines, ERP integrations, multi-system orchestration. Open-source, self-hosted, no vendor lock-in. You own the instance.

AI-assisted automations

AI is one more tool in the automation kit, and a good fit for a specific set of ops jobs: support triage, content drafting, inventory intelligence, and automated reporting. I build these on the Claude API, running on infrastructure you control rather than a SaaS subscription layered on top.

Reporting and dashboards

Weekly and monthly automated reports. Custom dashboards. KPI tracking for the metrics your team actually uses, delivered where your team already works.

A real example

On a community project of mine, marshallcountyguide.com, a directory of 163 local businesses, the listings need to stay current without manual upkeep. I built a scheduled n8n pipeline that finds new businesses, structures the data, and writes them straight into the site's database, so the directory keeps itself current with no one in the loop. The same pattern moves cleanly onto a store: a scheduled job that pulls from a source, shapes the data, and lands it where your team needs it, instead of someone babysitting a spreadsheet.

Common questions

Can you work inside our existing tools?

Yes. Slack, ClickUp, Notion, GitHub, whatever you're already using. New tools only get introduced when there's a clear gap.

Who owns the automations you build?

You do. Everything is built on infrastructure you control: your Shopify store, your n8n instance, your API keys. No platform lock-in.

What happens if the engagement ends?

Everything I build is documented and handed off. No black boxes.

Can you set up something one-off, not as a retainer?

Yes. A defined automation project typically runs $10K to $25K. Larger ongoing work moves into a retainer.

How do you decide between Flow and n8n?

Flow when the workflow is Shopify-only. n8n when it touches outside systems or needs more logic than Flow handles. Sometimes both, chained.
